Kim has a bachelor’s degree in equine studies with a concentration in communications from Centenary University. After 15 years of working as a writer and editor, she decided to pursue her desire to help others and will graduate with her master’s in social work from the University of Kentucky in December 2023.

Education along with life and work experience have brought Kim full circle to a career as an equine specialist in mental health at Aeroflex Equine Therapy. In addition to teaching clients how to safely interact with horses, she coordinates ground-based horsemanship activities to help clients learn about themselves, grow through challenges and accomplish goals.

Kim believes in a holistic approach to mental and emotional wellness, incorporating awareness of the mind-body connection while meeting clients where they are and gradually working toward growth and goal achievement.
