Adam Weckenmann is a New Jersey Licensed Social Worker (LSW). He earned his graduate degree from Rutgers University where he received a Master’s in Social Work.
Adam focuses on his client’s individual needs to build a unique experience thereby creating a fluid atmosphere to join with them. He incorporates interpersonal therapy (IPT) and a mindfulness approach in sessions. His work is also informed by the concepts and skills of behavioral therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and has foundational training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). In addition, Adam has a passion for incorporating the teachings of Stoicism, a philosophical approach to help clients understand and accept circumstances outside of their control.
Adam has experience working with children, teens, and adults in a variety of settings including intensive in community, Intensive outpatient (IOP) and Partial hospitalization (PHP) and private practice. He has worked with individuals with a range of mental and emotional health issues, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, and bipolar disorder. He also has a passion for working with veterans.
Adam is committed to creating an authentic space for clients that is comfortable and judgement free, while letting the individual harness their strengths to create change in their lives.
